I am a professional beauty therapist and non-invasive aesthetic practitioner with an advanced knowledge of the beauty industry.

As we step into 2025, I’m reflecting on the changes I’m making, both personally and professionally. Growth is all about refining what serves us and letting go of what doesn’t. Here’s my updated approach to beauty care, self-care, and client services for the new year.

What’s OUT in 2025

1. Gel Manicure Services

Starting January, gel manicures will be available only for existing, regular clients. This change allows me to focus on offering more advanced facial treatments. If you need a new nail specialist, I’d be happy to recommend some great professionals!

2. Long Work Hours

In 2024, I often worked long hours and late evenings to accommodate as many appointments as possible. In 2025, I’ll be limiting late evening slots to prioritise my well-being and ensure I can deliver the best care during each session.
Please plan ahead and book your appointments in advance to secure your preferred time. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

3. Frequent appointment swaps and last-minute cancellations.

I understand that life can be unpredictable, and plans change—that’s completely okay! However, frequent cancellations or rescheduling (more than twice per booking) makes it harder to accommodate other clients who are patiently waiting for their appointments.
To ensure everyone has a fair chance to book, if you have a very busy life schedule, I kindly ask that appointments be booked closer to a date that works best for you.

4. Overloading on active ingredients in skincare.

Less is more when it comes to skincare! This year, I’m focusing on thoughtful, balanced routines prioritising skin health over harsh trends. No more piling on every new ingredient—your skin (and mine) deserves better.

5. Following viral beauty trends from social media.

While trying the next big thing is tempting, but sticking to what’s tried and tested it’s always the safest option. This approach ensures I provide consistent, high-quality advice and results tailored to each client’s needs.

6. Neglecting my own professional beauty care.

This was my wake-up call: doing my own pedicure at 1 a.m. on Christmas Day before catching an 8 a.m. flight! This year, I’m carving out time for my personal beauty and wellness care—it’s about setting the example and practising what I preach.

What’s IN for 2025

1. Streamlining communication with clients.

I’ve introduced a simpler, more effective system for booking and updates. Make sure you check my recent Instagram/Facebook post for all the details.

2. Prioritising my education and growth.

Continual learning is key to offering the best for my clients. This year, I’m dedicating more time to advanced training and techniques to elevate your results.

4. Staying true to my values and expertise.

No trends, no gimmicks—just top-quality products, formulations, and honest, natural results. I’ll also share more skincare tips and realistic outcomes from my actual client treatments. Authenticity is my focus.

5. Prioritising my fitness and mobility.

For me, it’s about staying fit, mobile, and flexible—not just for today, but for the years ahead. The added bonus? Feeling stronger, energised, and ready to serve you at my best!

6. Embracing Quality Over Quantity

In 2025, I’m focusing on delivering more personalised, high-quality services. By creating space for intentional work and meaningful connections, I can better meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

I could add so much more to both lists, but these highlight the most significant shifts I’m embracing this year. Now it’s your turn: What are your “In’s and Out’s” for 2025? Share in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
